Two popup windows comprise this step, the "Legislative History" popup, and the "Edit Municipal Code*" popup.
- Select the node where the documentation (History) should apply.
- Click "Edit" in the content area.
- Click the "Documentation" button atop the web text editor's toolbar. A popup will reveal the node's History, where its documentation may be edited or deleted. Deleting documentation in this popup will not delete the document from the "gavel", or the Document Library.
- In the Legislative History popup, click "Link Documentation" to reveal the "Edit Municipal Code*" popup.
- Select which Action applies. The scanned ordinances/resolution should reveal the correct legislative action. To learn all of the software's legislative actions, read the article, "Legislative Actions".
- In the "By" dropdown, select the substantiating document that was named and uploaded in the first step.
- The "Detail" field is usually left blank but may include any additional details. Text added into this field will become part of the documentation's link.
- Select "Update" to apply the new history item, or Cancel to go back to the "Legislative History" popup.
