Folio Bound Views is a desktop application that lets you browse and search your online code without being connected to the Internet. This article will show you how to install and update the program on multiple networked computers. For information on how to install the program on one computer, see the Standalone Installation for Folio Bound Views article.
Network Installation
- Install Folio Bound Views on each workstation that will need access to the code publication
- Navigate to C:\ProgramData\<municipalityname>\ on one of the workstations that have Folio installed
- Copy the Infobase (.nfo) and license (.lcf) files that are in the folder, and paste them into a network location accessible by all of your workstations (for example, if you have a shared drive named G:\ that all of your workstations have access to, create a folder there named Folio and paste the files into G:\Folio)
- Users can now double-click the .nfo file from this network location to open the program, or you can update their desktop and Start > All Programs shortcuts
Note: You can right-click the desktop Folio shortcut, select Properties, and modify the Infobase argument ("11518.nfo", for example) to include the new network path.
Install Updates on the Network
To install future updates, run the standalone installation on a single workstation and copy the .nfo and .lcf files from C:\ProgramData\<municipalityname>\ to your network location. This will overwrite the previous versions.
